Ballet Intensive Summer Camp

Covid-19 Safety Policies and Procedures

Hamilton Academy of Performing Arts will operate its Summer Camp in accordance with the Government of Ontario and Health Canada and will follow strict guidelines provided by Ontario Public Heath and Safety Association for COVID-19.

Hamilton Academy will implement comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures during Summer Camp to ensure the protection of students, teachers, and staff.

Ballet Intensive Summer Camp 2022 will return to the studio for dancers in the Junior (ages 6 to 10), Intermediate (ages 11 to 13), and Senior Ballet programs (ages 14 to 20). Class sizes will accommodate a safe (6 foot) distance from each dancer.

Should the government and health authorities disallow in person classes for summer camp, a full refund will be made to the student. Virtual on-line summer classes will be put in place to allow dancers to continue their training.

Hamilton Academy of Performing offers a summer program in collaboration with the Hamilton City Ballet for local and international students from ages 6 to 20. Please see Hamilton City Ballet website for Adult ballet summer classes. Throughout the years, we have welcomed students from the Hamilton and surrounding areas, including Ancaster, Burlington, Waterdown, Oakville, Mississauga, Toronto, Markham, and across Canada – as far as British Columbia. The camp has also welcomed international students from across the world – Italy, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Romania, and USA.

We believe that students of all ages should have the opportunity to experience an enriching program in which they can develop their artistic qualities, learn new skills and meet new people. Our programs are designed to improve students’ technical and artistic abilities. Classes are taught by highly qualified and experienced staff in a safe and friendly environment. At the end of each session, the students prepare a presentation in the school’s Tchaikovsky Concert Hall for family and friends (pending Covid-19).
