Admissions

Admissions

Thank you for your interest in the Hamilton Academy of Performing Arts. The Directors consider academic records, the school visit, as well as a student’s artistic talent (for arts programs) when reviewing applications.

We accept applications on an ongoing basis — however, we encourage families to begin the process early as classes offered often depend on numbers enrolled.

Should you have any questions regarding the admissions process, please do not hesitate to contact us at (289) 238-9855 or by email.

Application Process

  • Book a visit
  • Meet with the principal and artistic directors
  • Complete the application form
  • Audition (for incoming secondary students — see below under Auditions for more details)
  • Submit the application form with the application fee
  • Attend the orientation session the first day of the school year

Visit The School

During the school year, we hold open house days that coincide with the Hamilton Wentworth District Public and Catholic School Board’s PA Days. Students spend the day participating in and attending all classes at their level.

We will arrange another day for your student to visit us if it is more suitable to your school schedule. Please contact us to schedule a visit.

Please contact us to book your open house or visiting day ahead of time. The student will be given a brief orientation and be introduced to students in their grade level. Parents will be asked to fill out a visiting student form. Students are required to bring a lunch and proper attire for dance class.
